Introduction

The Commission needs clear technical and scientific evidence and an assessment of these requests for granting, renewing or revoking exemptions in the light of the criteria listed in the Directive, notably the provisions cited above, taking into consideration the differing validity periods and expiry dates for the various product categories, in this case of (sub)categories of categories 8 and 9.

This project provides technical assistance to DG Environment in the following two reviews:

1. Annex IV 16 exemptions
2. Annex III 11 exemptions
